The Global Tech Awards recognizes excellence in various fields of technology, including Military Technology. The following are the criteria for Military Technology Awards Category:

  • Performance and Effectiveness: Assessment of the technology's performance and effectiveness in meeting military objectives. This includes factors such as accuracy, range, speed, durability, reliability, and overall mission success rate.

  • Innovation and Technological Advancement: Evaluation of the technology's level of innovation and technological advancement compared to existing solutions. Consideration is given to factors such as breakthrough capabilities, cutting-edge research, novel approaches, and integration of emerging technologies.

  • Tactical and Strategic Value: Analysis of the technology's tactical and strategic value in enhancing military operations. This includes factors such as improved situational awareness, enhanced command and control capabilities, force multiplication, and increased operational efficiency.

  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Assessment of the technology's adaptability and flexibility to different mission scenarios and operational environments. Consideration is given to factors such as modularity, interoperability, ease of integration with existing systems, and scalability.

  • Safety and Reliability: Evaluation of the technology's safety features and reliability in demanding military conditions. This includes factors such as adherence to stringent safety standards, robustness against threats and vulnerabilities, fail-safe mechanisms, and effective maintenance and support.

  • Cost-effectiveness and Efficiency: Analysis of the technology's cost-effectiveness and efficiency in terms of acquisition, operation, and maintenance. This includes factors such as lifecycle costs, availability of spare parts, ease of training, and overall return on investment.

  • Human Factors and Ergonomics: Consideration of the technology's human factors and ergonomics, ensuring that it is designed with user comfort, ease of operation, and workload reduction in mind. This includes factors such as user interface design, ergonomics of control systems, and usability testing.

  • Security and Resilience: Evaluation of the technology's security and resilience against cyber threats, hacking, and unauthorized access. This includes factors such as encryption, secure communication protocols, vulnerability assessments, and compliance with military cybersecurity standards.

  • Collaboration and Interoperability: Assessment of the technology's ability to facilitate collaboration and interoperability among different military units, systems, and coalition partners. This includes factors such as data exchange standards, common communication protocols, and seamless integration with allied forces.

  • Impact on Mission Success: Analysis of the technology's overall impact on mission success, including its contribution to achieving military objectives, improving operational capabilities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of military personnel.

The judges will also consider other factors such as the nominee's overall impact on the Military Technology, the level of creativity and originality of the solution, and the nominee's ability to overcome technical and market challenges. All decisions of the judges are final.
