Nano Technology (NanoTech)

The Global Tech Awards recognizes excellence in various fields of technology, including Nano Technology (NanoTech). The following are the criteria for Nano Technology (NanoTech) Awards Category:

• Innovation: The degree of innovation and novelty of the nanotechnology product, process, or application, which could involve new materials, methods, devices, or systems that push the boundaries of what is currently possible or address unmet needs in various fields, such as medicine, energy, electronics, environment, or security.

• Impact: The potential or demonstrated impact of the nanotechnology product, process, or application on society, economy, and/or environment, which could be measured in terms of improved efficiency, effectiveness, safety, health, sustainability, or affordability, among other factors, and validated by quantitative or qualitative evidence.

• Scalability: The ease, feasibility, and scalability of the nanotechnology product, process, or application to be manufactured, deployed, and adopted at different scales, from lab to industry to market, while maintaining consistent quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness, and complying with relevant regulations and standards.

• Collaboration: The extent and quality of collaboration and partnership among stakeholders involved in the development and commercialization of the nanotechnology product, process, or application, including researchers, engineers, entrepreneurs, investors, policy-makers, and end-users, which could enhance interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral synergies and promote knowledge exchange and transfer.

• Ethics: The adherence to ethical principles and practices in the design, development, testing, and deployment of the nanotechnology product, process, or application, which could include issues related to safety, privacy, consent, equity, diversity, inclusion, transparency, and accountability, and ensure that the benefits and risks are fairly distributed and communicated to all relevant parties.

The judges will also consider other factors such as the nominee's overall impact on the Nano Technology (NanoTech), the level of creativity and originality of the solution, and the nominee's ability to overcome technical and market challenges. All decisions of the judges are final.
