  • Injury Prevention and Safety: Evaluation of the technology's contribution to athlete safety and injury prevention. Consideration is given to factors such as protective gear, injury detection and monitoring systems, risk assessment tools, biomechanical analysis, concussion management, and technologies that minimize the risk of injuries during sports activities.

  • Fan Engagement and Experience: Assessment of the technology's impact on enhancing the fan experience and engagement with sports events. Consideration is given to factors such as virtual viewing experiences, interactive applications, social media integration, fantasy sports platforms, gamification, and technologies that enable fans to interact, participate, and feel more connected to their favorite sports and athletes.

  • Broadcasting and Media Enhancement: Evaluation of the technology's influence on improving sports broadcasting and media coverage. Consideration is given to factors such as high-definition video streaming, augmented reality graphics, virtual replays, interactive content, multi-angle cameras, and technologies that provide viewers with an immersive and engaging viewing experience.

  • Training and Coaching Tools: Assessment of the technology's contribution to athlete training and coaching methodologies. Consideration is given to factors such as virtual training platforms, personalized coaching applications, performance feedback systems, simulation tools, and technologies that optimize training routines, technique refinement, and skill development.

  • Ethical Considerations: Evaluation of the technology's adherence to ethical principles in the sports industry. Consideration is given to factors such as fairness, integrity, privacy protection, data security, and the technology's compliance with relevant rules and regulations governing sports competitions.

  • Market Impact and Commercial Viability: Assessment of the technology's market impact and potential commercial viability. Consideration is given to factors such as market demand, adoption by sports organizations, sponsorship and partnership opportunities, revenue generation potential, and the technology's ability to attract investment or create new business opportunities in the sports industry.

  • Industry Recognition and Endorsements: Evaluation of the technology's recognition and endorsements within the sports industry. Consideration is given to factors such as awards, partnerships with sports organizations or teams, testimonials from athletes or coaches, and the overall reputation and credibility of the technology within the sports community.

The judges will also consider other factors such as the nominee's overall impact on the Sports Technology (SportsTech), the level of creativity and originality of the solution, and the nominee's ability to overcome technical and market challenges. All decisions of the judges are final.
