Operational Technology (OpsTech)

The Global Tech Awards recognizes excellence in various fields of technology, including Operational Technology (OpsTech). The following are the criteria for Operational Technology (OpsTech) Awards Category:

  • Reliability and Availability: Assessment of the technology's reliability and availability in demanding operational environments. This includes factors such as uptime, fault tolerance, redundancy, and the ability to operate continuously without interruptions.

  • Safety and Security: Evaluation of the technology's safety and security features to protect personnel, assets, and critical infrastructure. Consideration is given to factors such as adherence to safety standards, resistance to cyber threats, robust access controls, and secure communication protocols.

  • Scalability and Flexibility: Analysis of the technology's scalability and flexibility to accommodate changing operational needs and future growth. This includes factors such as modularity, interoperability with existing systems, ease of integration, and the ability to adapt to evolving industry standards.

  • Performance and Efficiency: Assessment of the technology's performance and efficiency in improving operational processes and productivity. This includes factors such as speed, accuracy, data processing capabilities, energy efficiency, and the ability to optimize resource utilization.

  • Maintenance and Support: Evaluation of the technology's ease of maintenance and availability of technical support. Consideration is given to factors such as system diagnostics, remote monitoring capabilities, proactive maintenance features, and comprehensive user documentation.

  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Analysis of the technology's compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards. This includes factors such as adherence to safety, environmental, and data privacy regulations, as well as certifications and audits.

  • Integration and Interoperability: Assessment of the technology's ability to integrate with existing operational systems and facilitate interoperability. This includes factors such as support for industry protocols, data exchange standards, and seamless integration with legacy infrastructure.

  • Cost-effectiveness and Return on Investment: Evaluation of the technology's cost-effectiveness and the potential return on investment for organizations. This includes factors such as initial deployment costs, long-term operational costs, reduction in downtime, productivity gains, and overall business impact.

  • Innovation and Technological Advancement: Consideration of the technology's level of innovation and technological advancement compared to existing solutions. This includes factors such as breakthrough capabilities, novel approaches to operational challenges, and integration of emerging technologies.

  • Customer Feedback and User Experience: Analysis of customer feedback and user experience to assess the technology's usability, satisfaction levels, and the extent to which it meets user needs. This can include surveys, testimonials, and user interface design considerations.

The judges will also consider other factors such as the nominee's overall impact on the Operational Technology (OpsTech), the level of creativity and originality of the solution, and the nominee's ability to overcome technical and market challenges. All decisions of the judges are final.
